Bahar Releases Powerful New Single "Freak"

Rising young pop artist Bahar returns with her new single, "Freak," an emotionally charged pop song inspired by a real moment of bullying and isolation at school.

Written from personal experience, "Freak" captures the painful moment of feeling judged, excluded, and misunderstood. The song was born after Bahar overheard classmates speaking about her and calling her a "freak." Hurt by what she heard, she went to the bathroom and cried, then turned that moment into a song.

Rather than presenting sadness as weakness, "Freak" transforms a deeply vulnerable experience into something defiant, honest, and relatable. Through direct storytelling, emotional vocals, and a memorable pop structure, Bahar gives voice to anyone who has ever felt like an outsider.

The single continues Bahar's growing identity as a songwriter who draws from real teenage experiences. Her music explores crushes, insecurity, rejection, relationships, and the complicated emotions of growing up, but always through her own perspective and voice.

"Freak" follows Bahar's previous releases, including her debut single "Cute," a playful Gen-Z pop-rock track about the irrational joy of having a crush, and "I Always Knew That No One Would Love Me," a more vulnerable pop release about insecurity, love, and the fear of being unlovable.

With each release, Bahar continues to shape a distinctive artistic world: emotionally honest, melodic, and rooted in the intensity of teenage life. While "Cute" introduced her lighter pop-rock side and "I Always Knew That No One Would Love Me" revealed a more fragile emotional tone, "Freak" marks one of her most personal statements so far.

At its core, "Freak" is about the moment when someone else's words make you feel small and the decision to turn that pain into something powerful. For Bahar, songwriting becomes a way to process what happened, reclaim the story, and speak to listeners who may have lived through similar experiences.

Still early in her career, Bahar is already building a strong artistic identity through songs that feel personal, immediate, and emotionally direct. Fluent in multiple languages and writing from her own life, she channels the highs and lows of adolescence into modern pop songs filled with sincerity and heart.

With "Freak," Bahar offers a song for anyone who has ever felt different, excluded, or misunderstood and reminds them that being called a freak does not define who they are.
